Building things I'd actually want to use.*

I'm Alno, a software engineer recently graduated from Universitas Garut. Right now I'm finishing a thesis that compares how Next.js renders pages under real load, server-side against client-side, measured in things like TBT and INP rather than gut feeling.

Most of what I build starts from something I needed myself. TOEFL prep drills felt tedious to run manually, so I built PTESOL, a free ITP simulation platform. I handled the frontend end to end. The backend logic I built alongside an AI, picking up Supabase and API design along the way.

Before that, I spent a few months at a small creative agency redesigning client websites, the kind of work that teaches you how a good idea survives an actual deadline.

I like interfaces that move with intent. Not motion for its own sake. Motion that shows where to look next. This site is where I get to test that on my own terms.

PTESOL project cover

PTESOL

TOEFL ITP prep, without the guesswork

A free web platform for practicing TOEFL ITP under real exam conditions. It runs the full test, Listening, Structure, and Reading, and scores it on the actual 310-677 institutional scale, plus section-by-section drills, AI-generated score analysis, a leaderboard, and an admin panel for managing questions and sessions.

I built the frontend myself on Next.js 16 with the App Router and React Server Components. The backend, wired through Supabase and the Groq API for the AI analysis, I built working alongside an AI, learning the pieces as I went rather than starting from deep backend experience.
